Hi there!
Well that's our Marie Curie tea party over for another year, and what a day!
Its very personal to us to put on a good day, Mum always had the kettle on and loved nothing better than a cuppa and a gossip so the tea party is a very fitting tribute to remember her by and of course raise much needed funds for Marie Curie
This year, we had a craft stall set up selling hand made craft items that people had donated, we had all sorts from jewellery, knitted & crochet items and everything in-between. Its a real honour to see how much is donated in from our local community to support this event.
Maureen and Pat were stars on the raffle (as usual) and thanks to Sarah & Jess who manned the teas and coffees. We simply wouldn't manage without you all!
The big needles were out and folk were trying their hand at extreme knitting!
Also this year, we did an online raffle and was delighted that Kathryn from Crafternoon Treats offered to make us a bag to raffle off. We added in an Attic 24 yarn pack plus some other prizes and managed to raise over £1200 on the Just Giving page we set up. Kathryn and her side-kick bagalonger joined us in the shop and drew the online raffle for us - thanks so much for travelling to see us!
Monies are still coming in from the Tea Party but we are hopeful to raise over £2k! Raffle tickets for the shop raffle are still on sale until the end of the month. Lots of prizes including yarn bundles worth over £70!
If you didn't manage to get along to the tea party, you can still donate to the cause here
Thanks again for all your support and don't forget to join us on our social media pages to keep up to date with our news and offers!
Love from Caroline, Julie and Sally x

We always worry there wont be enough cake!
But of course we are never let down by the amount of donations that our friends and family bring in.
Special mention has to go to Gaynor for her chocolate eclairs this year!
