Morning folks, It's a lovely sunny day here in Bournville and at the time of writing this so it seems to be a bit odd to be telling you about Christmas Advent Calendars! We've put our pre-order in with our supplier for the limited edition 2017 Opal Advent Calendar. These have been really popular in previous years so if you don't want to miss out you can order yours here . We expect them to be delivered into store mid September & we will post them out as soon as they arrive 🎅🏻🎅🏻 This years advent calendar is presented in a brand new design of a Christmassy themed knitting book & contains 24 brand new colour mini balls of Opal sock yarn (15g per ball) which we know you will love! Hello there! As you know, we launched our exclusive WYS Marie Curie Yarn in 2017 and sold 1200 balls which enabled us to donate £2,400 directly to the charity - we were overwhelmed with the support & sold out of the limited edition colourway! 🎅🏻 Marie Curie Christmas Socks Quest 🎅🏻

We're over the moon that our special Marie Curie Yarn that we developed in conjunction with our friends at West Yorkshire Spinners has been well received by crafters not just in the UK but overseas as well! We've been keeping an eye on social media & have seen some fabulous creations of socks, shawls & gloves being made, one project that really caught our eye was over on Instagram where we spotted Sherlock_Knits a.k.a Dr Sarah Holmes who works at the Bradford Marie Curie Hospice, she has started knitting socks in the Marie Curie Yarn to gift to all the patients on Christmas Day. There are 16 beds in total at the Bradford Hospice & Sarah has recruited some helpers along the way to help her on her quest, however we got chatting & we thought it would be lovely if possible that all the patients in the UK (229 beds in total!) could be gifted a pair of hand-made Marie Curie Socks on 🎅🏻 Christmas Day 🎅🏻 so the Marie Curie Sock quest was born!
